Q. How long does it take to get a loan?
We issue your loan in one hour or less! This depends on the time of day you start the process and the completeness of your application and additional documentation. If you walk into one of our offices, you can walk out with a check, or we can make an electronic deposit to your bank account if you want.

Q. What are the qualifications to get a loan?
The basic qualifications you must meet are:
  • Your car must be registered in Minnesota and have a clear lien free title.
    • You need to be employed or have a regular source of income that will let you repay your loan.
    • You cannot have an open bankruptcy. If you had a bankruptcy in the past, that's OK.

Q. How do I apply for a loan?
There are three ways you can apply for a Checks-R-Us Loan:
  • Fill in our online application.
  • print our application, fill it in, and fax it or come in to one of our offices.
  • Call one of our friendly staff at 952-888-8877.
Q. What documentation will I need to give Checks-R-Us?
  • A copy of your driver's license.
  • The Minnesota title for your car.
  • Evidence of insurance on your car
  • Proof of your residence. This can be a utility or phone bill in your name mailed to the address on your application.
  • Proof of each source of income you specified in your application. For example, a copy of your most recent pay stub or, if you are self-employed, a bank statement that shows income deposits
  • If you have a co-signer on the loan, we'll need an application from him or her as well as a copy of his or her driver's license, proof of residence, and proof of income.
Q. How much does it cost to get a loan?
It costs nothing to apply for a loan. If your application is not approved, you pay nothing. If you decide not to take the loan after your application is approved, you still pay nothing. We'll be glad to answer any questions you have before you sign your loan documents.

Q. When will my first payment be due?
Your first payment usually will be due 15 days after we fund your loan.

Q. Can I pick my payment day?
If you have a specific day of the month you want to make your payments, let our friendly Loan Associate know and we'll do our best to set your payments on that day of the month.

Q. Can I pay off my loan early without any prepayment penalties?
Yes. We never charge a prepayment penalty. You can prepay any amount you want without a penalty.
